School Dress Code

At long last the warmer weather has arrived, which means summer clothing coming out of closets for all.  As we make the wardrobe change over for spring/summer, please take this opportunity to review the school's dress code (from the Parent/Student Handbook).

Students are expected to dress in a manner conducive to promoting an academic learning environment.  For students, the school is their place of business and standards must be in place that are suitable for all students Kindergarten through Grade 5.

The guidelines at Linwood School are as follows:

* Hats are not permitted indoors

* No inappropriate language on clothing

* No "short shorts".  No revealing tops.  Tops with "lasagna" straps (at least two finger widths) are acceptable. Halter tops, crop tops, muscle shirts and "spaghetti" straps are not.

* Cosmetics/Make-up are not to be worn by students at the Early Years level, except at special events like Halloween and school performances

* Shoes are to be worn at all times.  Running shoes are required for PE classes for safety reasons and recommended for outdoor play as well.

These guidelines are similar to those established at all schools.  Your cooperation is appreciated.

Should you have any questions or concerns about the dress code, please contact Mrs. McDonald.
