Giving Tree Hosting Snack Sale

Hi, we're Ayla and Maddox from Giving Tree.

For the next two weeks, Giving Tree will be hosting a snack sale of chips and licorice for Mission to Mexico. This sale helps kids in Mexico living in poverty. We decided to help after watching a presentation by the Mission to Mexico Youth Team, a group of high school students working with the School of Champions and the Volcanes Community Education Project in Mexico.

The Mission to Mexico project started when two of the high school students, the Liscum boys, were just in Grade 4. They visited Mexico and learned about the struggles the kids face there. Many of the kids we're helping live near the garbage dump and depend on the materials from the dump for food and housing. The kids often drop out of school to help their parents take care of their families, so food and education are great ways to support the kids in building a healthier and more stable life.

All of the money we raise will buy the kids school supplies. Please support us and buy a bag of chips for $1.00 and a strand of licorice for $0.25 (a quarter) during our recess sales and at conferences. The first sale is Wednesday, March 8
during p.m. recess by the office. Please see the schedule of snack sales included below. You can check out the Volcanes Community Education Project at the website link below as well. Please help the kids in Mexico by buying our snacks! Thank you for your support!

                    Sincerely,

                        Giving Tree
