More Olympic Reading Fun!

The week has rounded out with lots of fun at Linwood.  Olympic trivia has continued all week.  Students have entered their answers on ballots for a draw to win a prize.  Congratulations to all our winners!

On Wednesday we learned about the Olympic torch and had two guest readers, Toby from 103.1 Virgin Radio and MLA Deanne Crothers.  Big thanks to both guests for spending your time with us!

On Thursday we did our torch run - all classes made their own torches and blazed a trail through the halls.  We ran so fast all the photos turned out too blurry to publish!

To finish the week off, we had student athletes from St. James Collegiate come to read to us today.  Thank you to Mr. Kangas and his students Abby, Artfel, Joseph and Mikaela!

After our guest readers, we began our own Olympic games.  Classes rotated through eight fun stations.  One station was a healthy snack while hearing a story - thanks to McDonalds Restaurants for their generous donation of parfaits!  Two stations, Biathlon and Skeleton are pictured below.

Our Olympic themed "I Love to Read" activities have been enjoyed by all.  Special thanks to the staff for putting on such a special week!
