Today 19 members of
Linwood’s Giving Tree Club attended We Day at the MTS Centre. We Day is a
celebration of young people making a difference in local and global
communities. The students were
encouraged to turn inspiration into action.
More than 450 schools in Manitoba, totaling over 16, 000 students
participated in the We Day celebration.
Performers and guests included: Marlee
Matlin, Henry Winkler, Kardinal Offishall, Tyler Shaw, JR Martinez, Tom
Jackson, Wab Kinew, the Kenyan Boys Choir, Marc and Craig Kielburger and many
others.
Students are encouraged to download the We
365 app to participate in daily challenges to take social action and transform
lives.
