Giving Tree Club

The Giving Tree Club had a special guest speaker at today's meeting. JJ from Siloam Mission taught the students how we are all seeds of change and can help our world grow and blossom like a garden with our kind acts. He explained the three levels of support at Siloam Mission: Emergency, Transitional and the Madison in Wolsely housing project.  We learned that Siloam Mission provides three meals daily to 500 people which was 1500 meals each day!  Clothing, toiletries, blankets, health care and job support are some of the additional services provided to people in need.  Giving Tree members will meet again this month (date TBA) to create a plan of how Linwood students and families can assist the great work at Siloam Mission.
